Journalism for you

GRN's crowdsourced news - connect with the reporter behind the news - direct news for you

Global for me - The facts

Global for me™ is a new concept in news gathering and delivery...

No longer will the information you receive be decided and filtered for you by newspapers and broadcasters - you are now the commissioning editor.

You choose what you want and if you and enough others donate towards the production we will find one of the best journalists in the world to make your story...we're starting with text, then moving to video, audio and stills imminently...

Do you want to ask questions of politicans, local authorities, celebrities or anybody else - now you can. If there is enough interest, we'll arrange for a professional journalist to go to briefings, press conferences, request interviews or door stop reluctant interviewees on your behalf. Just like if you were the editor - you commission the story.

Global for me™ is the public home of professional reporters from the GRN (Global Radio News Ltd.) network. GRN provides reporters live to many of the most significant broadcasters in the world.

GRN reporters will also suggest stories. If  you need a reporter who isn't in our network and by that we mean, the all seeing, all knowing Global for me™ network, we will find you one - any time, any place, any subject, any language. This is real power for you..the internet doing what it was designed for...your freedom and information.

Use your social networks to find like minded people, then ask for stories to be made exclusively for you and your networks. Supplement your news and information with specialist, highly professional material, produced for you by Global for me™
We'll start with text stories then move into video, audio and stills soon after....

Give us your thoughts and ideas - does this work for you?

  • Journalists everywhere want to make stories that don't fit into traditional media - this is the place you can order them, read them and own them - get the back story, the detail - what happened when the networks went home?

  • We work with journalists on the ground the people that really know the story.

  • And also - is there a story you want a journalist to investigate - just ask.

  • If enough of you want it and pay towards it - we'll produce it. This is crowd sourced news, a new model for newsgathering and delivery!

  • What do you think? Send us your ideas eMail Us

  • These stories could be videos, audio podcasts, text or picture...YOU decide....

  • Do you feel the media is ignoring a story  that is close to your heart?

  • Do you want to know more about any story?

  • Do you feel some parts of the world aren't getting the exposure they deserve?

  • Is there a question you've always wanted to ask a president, a general, a politican or a celebrity?

  • Global for me™ is the home of journalism for YOU - your choice, your story - provided for YOU by some of the best reporters in the business.

  • The bottom line is - if enough of YOU are into it - we'll produce it. So get your networks involved, if it's important to YOU, it's important to them, all of you donate to the work and get the story in your inbox. Be ahead of the game.

  • We have access to reporters in every country in the world, we can cover anything, from the most remote places to the story next door....think global, act local.

  • We've got all sorts of ideas for how we can help YOU supplement your news and get into stories in a way that's impossible now with newspapers, TV and even the internet.

  • Shrinking budgets are killing news organisations and as advertising revenues slide the wrong way, they can't or don't want to pay for enough quality journalism.

  • Too much news is dictated by PR and brands - why read about something that's been placed because the product is advertised on another page?

  • When was the last time you read a really honest review? Journalists are not really allowed to write them, or if they do, it could be the end of their career on those pages - it becomes simply a question of keep the brand happy or else there is no food on the table. By brand we mean anything from a politican, to a celebrity or even consumer goods.

  • If enough of YOU are paying for it - the horror story outlined above can't happen....

  • GRN stands behind every reporter. They are the real thing, recognised professional journalists who will prepare your story upholding all the vital standards and practices recognised in the news business.

  • Do YOU think we should publish the stories you've paid for? We could put them on a site for everybody to read?

  • Would YOU want your name attached in the honors list?

  • Would YOU be happy to pay for a story where we keep the name of the reporter hidden, as writing the story might get them in trouble with the authorities?

  • Put your thoughts into our Ideas log

When it is ready we will make the report available exclusively to you and your fellow contributing users for 24 hours. Thereafter the item will be published on this website and other GRN websites for visitors to view.
